Plenty of bargains in Tampa right now for housing. Is that a good thing? The economy there is so ??>!#, sometimes jobs are good other times I hear strange stories. I really want this move so I'll take the chance. Now let's hope I find a great bargain...and a job.

Ok I was looking into Valrico area or Brandon but then again I heard Bloomingdale is very nice. I check out the schools, they are mostly A rated so I guess that's good. Hubby love Ft. Myers but I'm thinking it's too lay back, my kids will go nuts --what is there to do in Ft. Myers?

Hi all, welcome to my blog. As I said, moving to Tampa soon so please post any helpful information you have. So far what I know is that the housing market is in a slump, it's a great time to buy if you can have regular financing, nothing too creative. Also, schools are OK depending on where you are and job are ok too except they do not pay NY salaries of course.
But all in all, it's a good place.

So what's the best section in Tampa for a 10 yr old boy who love sports and a Mom who works in a university?
